Ever since Buddha Shakyamuni taught in India more than 2500 years ago, the teachings of Buddhism have remained steadfast, in an unbroken stream. Through the tireless efforts of realized teachers, great scholars, and renowned translators, Buddhism was introduced to many countries in the East, specifically to Tibet. The teachings were treasured very highly by the people in Tibet, and through the Tibetans, Buddhism is being brought to the West.
